Tyler's Baptism

We christened Tyler on Sunday in our backyard. Great Grandpa Al, a Lutheran pastor, did the honors. It was a wonderful and special ceremony. Thank you to everyone who was able to take part in this special occasion!

Kathy's Birthday

Kathy turned 60 on Saturday and we had a great party. Friends and family all gathered at the golf course for a fantastic meal. On Sunday we were able to take Tyler out for his first pontoon boat ride. He was a good sport and loved it when the boat was moving along. He even took a nap for a bit so we could stop the boat and jump in the (cold) water. It was a great day on the lake!

My Garden

I decided to try my hand at growing vegetables this year and so far have been successful. My romaine and butter lettuces have matured and are delicious! The zucchini are now blossoming and I have a few green tomatoes coming in. I just have an 8x4 bed this year, but maybe next year we'll plant another one. It is fun to go out to my own yard and pick something for a meal. I can't wait until the beans and squash come in so we can cook them for Tyler!

Today I made Tyler some zucchini puree for breakfast. He ate quite a bit of it and seemed to enjoy it after the initial "weird" face. We are taking a break from eating rice cereal as he doesn't seem to be digesting it...at all. Next week, carrots!

First Booster Seat

Tyler got to sit in his booster seat tonight at Nana Fofs and Papa Rick's house. He played with toys while we enjoyed our meal. What a cutie!
